US-based  ·  Recent test takers  ·  Top percentile

Built by US residents who remember exactly how hard Step 1 was.

We're a small team of US-based residents and physicians who built the resource we wish we'd had — a structured, question-first system that breaks down every UWorld MCQ the way it actually needs to be understood.

Our Story

UWorld alone isn't enough. We'd been there.

When Dr. Aman Shah was preparing for Step 1, he realized that reading UWorld explanations alone wasn't closing the gap. He needed someone to walk through the logic — question by question, concept by concept.

What started as walkthroughs for a small peer group grew into a full library covering every system, every high-yield pattern, and every distractor trap that appears on the real exam.

150+ hours of structured video covering all 3,600+ UWorld MCQs — built by residents who just took the exam and scored in the top percentile.

The Instructors

Taught by US residents who've been exactly where you are.

Every instructor scored in the top percentile and is currently in residency — they remember what it felt like to sit that exam.

NBME 218 Step 1: 254

I'd done UWorld twice before finding NextGen. The walkthroughs forced me to actually understand why every distractor was wrong — that's what closed the gap between knowing the topic and getting the question right on test day.

Dedicated felt like drinking from a firehose until I switched. Having a resident walk me through 30 MCQs a day in the same structure as my QBank reps is what finally made the patterns click.
